Genre: Fluff
Summary: SiWon wants to celebrate HeeChul’s birthday, and give him a special present.
HeeChul came out of the shower and roughly dried his dark brown hair with a towel before he wrapped it around his waist. He padded through the living room, and then he came to the dark kitchen. Blindly, he fumbled on the wall right next to him and found the light switch, turning the light on.
HeeChul swung the fridge door wide open and had to step away and cover his eyes from the bright light beaming from the fridge. When his eyes had adjusted to the sudden light, he took out a can of orange soda. He had just opened the can with a ‘pffft’ when he heard his cellphone vibrate on the kitchen table.
From SiWonnie:
To HeeChul:
- Hey HeeChul-ah! You have to come to my birthday party for you 6 pm today, right?
HeeChul grinned and chuckled quietly as he read the text message from SiWon. SiWon had been nagging about permission to throw a little birthday party for him the last three days and in the end HeeChul accepted it. It was not that he didn’t like to be the in the center of attention or be appreciated, but he just didn’t like when it was too many people around him.
From HeeChul:
To SiWonnie:
- Sure SiWonnie, but don’t have loads of people coming over, okay?
From SiWonnie:
To HeeChul:
- Don’t worry, it’s only gonna be you, me, RyeoWook and SungMin hyung. See you later!
From HeeChul:
To SiWonnie:
- See ya~^^
HeeChul laid his cellphone down on the table again and left to the bathroom to get dressed. He wore a blue acrylic shirt and light gray pants. As he came out in the living room again he glanced at the clock and it showed a quarter to five. It was still one hour and a quarter before he should be over at SiWon’s place.
What should he do in the meantime? Watch television, read a book or go out? He chose to read a book. It had been a long time since he had finished a book, and now, when he didn’t have anything else to do, it wouldn’t hurt to read a little.

‘DING DONG’
HeeChul could hear the sound of the doorbell from the inside of SiWon’s house and a moment later he could hear footsteps from someone on the inside and a figure was visible through the narrow, frosted window beside the front door.
The door was opened abruptly and HeeChul took a step back to avoid getting hit by it.
“HeeChul!” A high-pitched voice yelled as the door opened. The short man bowed and beckoned HeeChul to come inside.
“Hi, RyeoWook.” HeeChul greeted kindly and kicked off his shoes. He had been visiting SiWon a hundred times before, and he knew he could act the way he wanted in the other’s house, like just throwing his shoes wherever he wanted.
“Hello, HeeChul hyung.” SungMin said as swiped past him and into the kitchen. His dark blond hair was gathered into a little ponytail, something that told HeeChul that SungMin maybe was the one making the food for the party.
“Chullie.” The last one, SiWon, said and smiled lovingly to him as HeeChul entered the kitchen. SiWon was dressed in white and black striped shirt and plain black pants. His outfit was covered by a not-so-stylish yellow apron.
“SiWonnie,” HeeChul said and replied the smile. “You look silly with that apron.” He said and pointed at it before he snickered quietly.
“I think it suits him. He looks cute in it.” RyeoWook stated as he entered the kitchen as well. He looked at the food SungMin and SiWon was making, like he was inspecting it.
“Of course he is cute.” HeeChul said and winked to SiWon, who looked away, trying to hide his blush.
“You two have nothing to do here,” SungMin suddenly said and shoved HeeChul and RyeoWook out of the kitchen. “If we are going to be four people in the kitchen it’s going to be too crowded for the chefs.”
“Okay, SungMin. We get it.” HeeChul laughed and pushed SungMin’s hand off his shoulder. “By the way, RyeoWook, why aren’t you in the kitchen. I thought you were the cooking genius here.” HeeChul said and tilted his head as he looked down on RyeoWook.
“I’m having a day off. SungMin is quite good in the kitchen too, so I don’t worry about him. I’m not so sure about SiWon’s cooking talents though, but he insisted to make it for you.” RyeoWook answered and HeeChul smiled when he heard about SiWon.
“Let me show you the living room.” RyeoWook said and dragged HeeChul by his wrist into the big living room.
“Wow,” HeeChul exclaimed when he saw the room. “That is quite a lot of balloons.”
“I know. I hope you are not too overwhelmed.” RyeoWook chortled.
HeeChul looked over all the balloons, in all the colors of the rainbow, but there was especially one that caught his sight.
“Why is there only one turquoise balloon?” HeeChul asked in confusion.
“No idea. But SiWon said it was special so maybe there is something about it we don’t know yet.” RyeoWook answered and shrugged.

The four of them had been eating chocolate cake and apple pie and HeeChul felt like he was going to explode soon. The two younger’s cooking impressed him, although he had a feeling SungMin had done the most work. But, after all, it’s the thought that counts.
“Time for presents!” RyeoWook exclaimed all of a sudden and rose from the chair. He and SungMin disappeared to the hall to find the presents they had for HeeChul.
“The cakes were really good.” HeeChul said when it was only he and SiWon in the room. SiWon smiled thankfully back, but didn’t thank him in words yet, as he still had cake in his mouth.
“I’m happy you liked them.” SiWon said when he eventually had swallowed and in the same moment the two other boys came back.
--------------------
HeeChul thanked and hugged RyeoWook and SungMin after he had opened the presents from them. RyeoWook had given him a cute cat charm for his cellphone and SungMin had given him a DVD of a foreign movie, an English comedy. Now SiWon was the only one that hadn’t given him a present yet.
HeeChul looked at SiWon who walked over to the balloons and picked up the turquoise one. He came back to the three boys and handed over the balloon to HeeChul.
HeeChul held it between his palms and turned it around to see if the balloon maybe had a hidden function.
“What is this?” He asked and a little frown was shown in his face.
“That's a balloon, hyung.” RyeoWook pointed out and HeeChul just rolled his eyes and sighed.
“I know that, RyeoWook. I'm not that stupid. What I mean is why is this balloon so special?” HeeChul asked the only one who knew the answer, SiWon.
“Pop it and see.” He answered with a shrug, not wanting to say more than necessary.
“Pop it? How?” HeeChul asked while he began to search around for something sharp.
“This should maybe do it.” SungMin gave HeeChul a thin metal thing he had taken out of his pocket.
“Why do you carry around a needle?” HeeChul looked at the younger with worry in his eyes.
“It's not a needle. It's called a hairpin.” RyeoWook directed him.
“Whatever,” HeeChul waved it of with his hand. “Why do you have a hairpin in your pocket then?”
“My bangs of course.” SungMin announced, like it was the most obvious thing in the world, and HeeChul only scoffed.
Then HeeChul popped the balloon and in a second it changed from a big oval ball filled with air to just a tiny useless piece of plastic. A little piece of paper, a note, flew out of the balloon and HeeChul grabbed it quickly before it hit the ground. The paper was curled into a tiny ball and HeeChul carefully unfolded it. Something was written on it and HeeChul could recognize the handwriting as SiWon's. SiWon looked at him hopefully with a nervous smile.
HeeChul ran into the kitchen to find some paper. SungMin followed him and looked confused at the older one as HeeChul tore out a little rectangular-shaped piece of the paper.
“What's wrong, HeeChul?”
“Nothing. Find me a pen.” HeeChul demanded and SungMin turned around to pick up a pen lying on the kitchen table behind him.
“Here you go.” SungMin said as he gave it to HeeChul.
The other one took it and scribbled something down on the paper. His handwriting wasn't as neat and beautiful as SiWon's but it was readable anyway.
He curled the paper into a ball, just as the note he had gotten from SiWon. “And now I just need a balloon.” He mumbled and looked around to find a package of balloons he remembered to have seen here when he arrived.
SungMin, his helping hand at the moment, found it before him and gave him a metallic green balloon. HeeChul blew it halfway, then he pushed the note ball inside it and blew it until it was big enough. After a little struggling he finally managed to make a knot on it.
“Here.” HeeChul said as he gave the balloon to SiWon, who looked him in the eyes, still confused.
“We need that hairpin of yours again.” HeeChul said to SungMin and the latter began searching trough his pockets.
“I have it.” RyeoWook chirped and put it into HeeChul's reaching hand.
SiWon popped it and grabbed the small paper ball. Quickly, he unfolded it and a few seconds later a big grin covered his face. He stretched out his arms and lovingly he embraced HeeChul.
SungMin and RyeoWook looked at each other in confusion and curiosity.
“What's this?” SungMin asked, RyeoWook only shrugging and slightly frowning.
“Find the two notes.” RyeoWook said quickly. He and SungMin rushed over the table where the two pieces of paper were lying.
“This is the one from SiWon: Will you be mine...” SungMin read out loud. RyeoWook grabbed the other note, the one from HeeChul and as he read it out loud a smile was tickling on his lips. “Yes, I do.”
Both RyeoWook and SungMin squealed and jumped up and down while holding hands. “I knew it!” SungMin said, pointing at RyeoWook, like he had just won a bet.
“I don’t think you knew it,” RyeoWook said unbelievingly and SungMin rolled his eyes. “But we knew it was something unusual with that balloon.” RyeoWook announced and SungMin nodded, agreeing.
“Look at them!” RyeoWook squeaked and the two of them looked at the hugging pair in front of them.
“How cute.” SungMin said and sighed peacefully.
HeeChul squished SiWon tighter one more time before he let go of him. He stood up on tiptoe and kissed SiWon lightly on the lips. After that he took a half step back grinning happily to the younger boy before him. SiWon smiled too, and pulled HeeChul back to kiss him again, longer this time.
HeeChul heard sighing behind him and they broke the kiss. He moved to see RyeoWook and SungMin looking at each other with fake disappointment in their faces. “I don’t think he will care about the presents he got from us anymore.” SungMin stated and RyeoWook shrugged, but struggled to hold back a smile. Maybe their mouths didn’t smile, but their eyes sure did.
“So…” SiWon began and HeeChul turned back to him again. “How did you like this birthday party?” SiWon asked, eager to hear the answer coming out of HeeChul’s mouth.
“I loved it.” HeeChul answered dreamy and gave SiWon’s hand and careful squeeze.
“And why is that?” SiWon and a little bit of smugness glimpsed in his eyes.
“That’s because…” HeeChul began and briefly looked at SungMin and RyeoWook before he eventually locked eyes with SiWon. “That’s because you are the best birthday present I could get.”
