yesterday i went over to my parents' house to help mom with dad. he decided he wanted a fried egg and home fries for lunch. he got the first bite in his mouth and immediately gagged and wretched. clearly it wasn't a hit with his body. he was sitting there fighting the nausea...trying to keep everything down when my cell phone rang and my sister

The word "ossifying", my English dictionary and the context of that sentence don't add up. Help! I don't get it!

Good to know there's a word for that btw. I though 'wine, liquor and beer' was traditionally called 'a very, very bad combination'.
Especially if you've reached an age above 25 :)

haha! we were trying to figure out how he meant the word too. i think he meant that it would dry you the hell out...dry out your liver, your whole body, make you dehydrated and terribly thirsty by the next day. but get you good and drunk at the moment!
