Chailig vs. the Gnolly Ghosts

Kind of an okay one-day. Not so much because of something on Plot's end, they were great. I just wasn't getting that into it. ( Cut because this gets long, and then I go into my sense of dissatisfaction. )

Heh. Sorry. I do go on.

Oh, don't apologize. My summary wasn't meant as subtle commentary, I was just trying to keep it short. :p I think how you played it through was pretty interesting, I just didn't really have any investment in it since Evan had little to no interaction with Edwin, and Chailig had none at all before that point.

As for the part where I felt I got in your face, I meant more when it was all over and I came up to say it was neat, but then I went off about what *I* was doing during the whole affair, and I think it came off as snide when I hadn't intended it to be... and really, I didn't have to bring myself into it at all. All that I needed to say at that point was "hey, that was cool" and for some reason I went on. So for any snideness, I apologize.

One of the things which I want to bring up in the town meeting is something that we call "personal plot". This is where the plot team throws individual stories or even just encounters at a player, pulling from their backgrounds, to help draw them into the game.

I think West's been focusing on providing the broad event plotlines lately, and personal plot attention has been lacking. This is due, in part, to limited preregistration... but it also has been a result of us just not focusing on it.

The net effect, I think, is that players who aren't the "big hitters", end up feeling sidelined. I dunno, hopefully we can do better on this.

I think our event plans need, once again, for us to start with a list of players who get addressed one at a time.

I feel like I know what I could have done, as plot, to make your event more immersive... and the simple fact is that I didn't think of it before the event, so I didn't plan it and get it done. The same is true, I believe, for many other players.

Bloody hell, Graham, if I thought the problem was not getting any direct plot, I would've said that. That's not it at all! Please please please don't think you failed in any way, you really didn't. If anything, I was entertained by your contributions, as I usually am ( ... )

Funny enough, I think a true comraderie happened between out two characters that won't be lightly broken.

Which should be pointed out that you are the first "friend" he thinks he has made.

I have to agree. One of my favorite parts of the day was when you and I were sitting at one of the tables in the tavern. At this point, we had already started a game of staring the other down... this time, I was looking off into the woods. You'd look at me, and follow my gaze into the woods... at which point, I'd shift my gaze to you and give you a cock-eyed glare. When you turned back to me, I'd be looking at the woods again. Repeat about five times. :D

I could totally see Chailig looking out for Shay. Word.

I can understand how you feel... I was actually going to just stop playing for a while, but Justin and Curtis are going to bring in some low levels, and I am going to join into them. In the future you won't see too much of Blitz, but my now not yet named good guy healer. Joe is also planning to stop playing gyren for a while, so a whole lot of the strong people are not going to be in town, and you will not longer be one of the only lows.
