Leeds Trip

May 23, 2007 13:40

jellybearwhore, distorted_rage, Pete and myself are planning on going up to the Royal Armouries in Leeds on the Bank Holiday Monday coming. Would anyone else like to join us?

For those who are going, what time in the morning do you fancy leaving Nottingham? The train journey takes about two hours each way.

Sppoky, I was just about to prod you about that...

Reasonably early, I'd like to get a full day there. About 9am ish, perhaps? What time does it open/close?

Armouries are open from 10am till 5pm. An early start doesn't bother me, there is an 08:06 train from Beeston which gets into Leeds at 10, or a 09:06 train from beeston which gets into Leeds at 11.

I don't reckon we'll make an 8am train, so perhaps the 9am one would be better :) 11-5 is plenty of time to look around, I reckon.

Are those times from Beeston station or Notts station?

9am sounds good to me, and the times are from Beeston.

Of course it is OK if Chris comes :).

As for the fare when I go up on the train on business it is £30.50. Hopefully like the trip to Warwick though it will be cheaper then that, but I have checked the www.rail.co.uk site and it is just showing the £25 and £30.50 fares.
