Car Drama

The drama of my car is ongoing. Ugh.

At some point I'll get a chance to write it all down. For the time being, I'm so pissed off that I really just can't take the time to do it.

Total damages to my car so far: $2200. That's prior to checking the brakes and engine.

I had to part with ~£1400 today for mine. A service, MOT (annual test for roadworthiness), brake pads and discs front, brake pads rear, middle silencer and brake fluid change. I could get a hell of a lot of bus/train tickets with that...

My car was stolen. I had to pay $304 cash to get it out of impound where it was stored for 7 days for processing.

There was no processing. When I got the car back there was weed and crack cocaine in it.

I've yet to get a call back from a detective in the three weeks since my house was broken into and my car was stolen.

I had to get my chief deputy and major of operations involved where I work (Sheriff's office in county north of where I live) just to get the weed and crack taken out of my car.

This entire thing has been a clusterfuck.

I've been driving a rental for two weeks now.

Damn. There's not really much I can say to that. In fact 'damn' doesn't even come close enough. I've had stuff stolen before and it's absolutely awful.

And the general fuckwittedness of the police doesn't help either.
