No they didn't want to check. I simply called them on it and told them they could check if they wanted to. Of course they weren't expecting such a ballsy move. They were expecting me to go "Oh okay" and go back to the room and get changed... but fuck that. The con does have rules, and there's no rule against showcostumes or showing shaven male thigh.
