Jaspian:

I love your movie reviews! You should do this for some newspaper or other paying media !

Seriously ! I print your reviews out for a 'near furry' co-worker and he agrees! Your reviews are at least as good as "professional" reviewers if not BETTER!

Think about it!

Thanks a zillion for the review. I was all set to see this in a major theatre -- and now it sounds like I'd rather not see it except at a dollar or on Torrents.

That saved me $7!

You're welcome. I'm glad it was helpful to you! What about the review made you disinterested?

I dislike previews that lie to me about the movie, and I was all set to see a thriller on some group of shadowy folk making "major changes" to the world... but to pull a rug like that is just crap.

Ever see Know1ng? It's similar. I was even happy with angels because they made it pretty much out that it was Angels from the very second that you got what was going on. Angels, Angels, Angels... Aliens.

Total crap copout there.

Well... it didn't lie, it just left out something that most people would roll their eyes at. :P

As for Knowing, I totally disagree. I Knowing, you weren't supposed to know that they're angels until the very-surprise-ending... an ending which would not have had the same effect if it weren't a surprise. My jaw was literally dropped basically from the moment the ships took the children away until the credits rolled. I couldn't believe (in a good way) that Hollywood would make a film with a scientifically-plausible Christian apocalypse at the end. And I say: Kudos! I'm not a Christian, but at least its something unexpected, rather than their ordinary run-of-the-mill mass-produced garbage. I thought Knowing was wonderful.
