It turned out pretty tasty, I think. It was definitely not as pretty with all the noodles broken into smaller bits, but somehow my sense of sauce making balanced itself out. I think I will attempt more exciting things! My real challenge, I think, is to keep trying to create things so I am in the habit of doing them, and the more minor preperatory steps become easy as pie. As with other things in my life, it is all about establishing some good habits and maintaining my sense of perspective about it all.

Well, I think it's awesome that you're getting back into cooking. A few missteps are inevitable (jew_witchgirl has a few stories about my own cooking mishaps, but she's promised me that they will no longer be repeated on the grounds that I have actually produced some very edible concoctions recently). The Spice Rack method is underrated and truly powerful, on the grounds that it really opens up your options, and then you can start removing spices to attain the flavor you seek.
The real accomplishment will be when pie actually is easy!
mmmm pie. One day I may stray into dessert creation, but for now, it is still noodle 101 for me. Congrats on your own levelling up with cooking. I imagine you are getting a whole new set of things to mess about with down there.
