We saw it too yesterday! LMA said the best song was the "dream" song in the tavern. I could see the similarities of other films. the boat scene near the end somewhat like the LM, or the song when you first meet Rapunzel in her tower like the LM song about her gadgets and gizmos, or Belle's song about books when walking through the town. I do believe this is the first one in a long time that made me laugh out loud, and ponder the end searching my mind for a possible happy Disney ending. Then as I saw Rapuzels eyes tear up I remembered the ending I had seen once in a different version about a tear restoring sight to the prince who was blinded by the witch and at once my body was at ease knowing it would have a happy ending.

Great flick!

I really need to see that movie. It's looked interesting, and with this review, well...

Disney animation has finally won me back again with this film. Enough that, dare I say, I'm going to let my hope fly wild with anticipation for their next movie! I haven't laughed through a Disney film like that in a long time, nor walked out feeling so giddy.

(And thank you for sharing that tidbit about the story team discovering Maximus's character. It really is perfect.)
