Regarding sleep dep's contribution to the rut: even subtle chronic tiredness can make it 10x more difficult to stick the crowbar under your own ass and pry yourself up.
I worry that the schedule change will end up with you allowing yourself to stay up later on nights before you have a late morning and thus end up not being as good as it could? I propose we instead commit to being in bed physically, even if reading or on laptop, by a certain time on school nights, say 10:45pm. I personally would really like to push my cycle earlier anyway. We end up eating and living better when I'm getting off work at 5pm.
