My wisdom teeth are finally coming out of my head. I've been resistant to the idea, thinking all my dentists were just in it for the referral kickback, but my new dentist (who also happens to be the dad of one of my very favorite dogs at work) actually showed me the x-rays and yeah dude, since the last time I saw a dentist, my upper right wisdom ( Read more... )

How much coffee do you drink, and how frequently? When Luke was not sleeping a lot (writing his thesis) and drinking a lot of coffee he used to get facial ticks regularly. Even if you're not over-caffeinating yourself, the lack of sleep may contribute to it. Your body may not be handling the lack of sleep as well as you can on a day-to-day basis.

A related story of mine about ridiculous costs for 'necessary' things:

I'm currently taking this ancient Chinese literature survey course and the teacher compiles and prints his own texts. That means they come from the school printers where NOTHING is refundable (no used book buyback). Additionally there are THREE of them (maybe four). Three books for a semester class $50 - $125 each. And I 'need' them.

While it's no excuse for being so behind on reading - I'll take the flack for that - it's totally alienating as a poor, nontraditional student.
