To think that I almost sworn when I saw the first page of 184. Like OMG ARE THEY GOING TO FIGHT ALREADY?! LOL but nonetheless, it was great seeing Kashitarou and his… way of dealing with people.
ウルセェ! 尻穴にリンゴ入れんぞ!! LOL oh Kashitarou, I thought you were picky when it came to things like these. I don’t even want to bother translating that.
Just some various flashbacks to what Gama’s attack is going to be. Apparently it’s call Kamui and it’s this super life-threatening-if-you-don’t-perform-it-like-you-want-to-risk-your-life-in-it attack. Hm. Figures.
(Kamui reminds me of Kamui in Gintama. To think I’ll ever see another kamui again… haha)
Ranmaru is still trying to analyze Gama’s attack and being awesomely smart, already (well…) figures the likelihood of where the trajectory of where it will come from just after one encounter. He then looks over to Naoyoshi as he thinks to himself that he can’t lose (AWWWWWWW),
Ranmaru: Even if Gama is your important friend, my all is for that person.
(sigh…) Do I have to mention anymore who that person is?
And then another flashback of what Kamui is. Basically, a SUPER CHEAP ASS ATTACK that aims to slash the opponent midway of when the opponent raises his sword. So I was sort of right when I said the whole counter-counter thingy a few chapters ago. Ranmaru will raise his sword the moment he thinks Gama will attack, and then Gama will in that instance raise his sword even higher, smacking Ranmaru’s sword down and leaving him vulnerable. I don’t know. I just felt kind of mad when I saw how the attack was going to work.
Firstly this was basically a script of how Ranmaru was going to lose. (haha…) Secondly it’s an attack that only Gama can be able to perform (debatable, but as the current chapters go yes) Thirdly it doesn’t reflect any skills at all. (WELL. Yes, it requires a lot of concentration/timing etc to execute the skill BUT really, it all comes down to speed. And executing a move before your opponents is reallllllllllly lame. It just doesn’t feel like a head to head battle anymore!)
And then really. Really. Kashitarou (flashback) was like. Knowing that you’ll die if you make a mistake… even so, will you try out this technique?
Gama then says: For the sake of friends… as well for the sake of my OWN conviction. (more ranting on that later)
Gama charges in, sword in hand. Nayoshi is just muttering quietly like he’s suddenly developed a sixth sense. “… Stop. This time either side will die!” Still cute though.
Battle happens, stuff from above comes true, Naoyoshi SEES how the battle will end and screams Gama’s name.
Well. It was bound to happen. But seeing it ‘for real’ just breaks my heart. My first thought though was: omg Ranmaru looks so handsome the moment before he’s slashed. LOL That sudden look of surprise and vulnerability looks so… ////!
But anyways, back to the rant. Gama said that he wields his sword for the sake of his own conviction. (friends, yes, but he said conviction twice. Twice). I thought all the ‘good’ guys that win in matches are those that fight for anybody BUT themselves. Ranmaru was obviously fighting for someone he cherishes (that pureness, although annoying cuz you can’t see Naoyoshi is actually kind of sweet). Gama on the other hand was only fighting for HIMSELF. Apparently he’s completely forgotten about a certain objective here.
ASDFGHJKL; when I see the wound on Ranmaru, I just cringe. It’s small but it’s large. It looks light but it also looks deep. It might have just missed the vital organs but at the same time intestines could spill out. The dying (no pun intended) question is:
IS RANMARU GOING TO DIE WITHOUT EVER CONFESSING TO NAOYOSHI-SAMA?!
