Walk Like A Man

So, Lucien is officially a toddler. He's been practicing walking with this super cool toy he got from our friends John and Lisa. As a result, he can now consistently do about 3-4 steps on his own before going down to his knees. And these are real steps now, not a prolonged fall forward

Awww! I always think of how this is when you find out how well your child-proofed everything, but it's also nice to know that they are progressing towards not needing to be carried everywhere. And totlets are so *cute* when they start running everywhere!

I know we have more child proofing to do!

Luckily, Lucien is now consistently sleeping 12 hours a night. This means I'm getting more sleep each night and am needing naps less and less during the day. So I can accomplish more child proofing while he's sleeping.

yay! I think it's amazing how much babies grow and learn in the first year. Last year at this time, he couldn't hold his head up, and now he's walking.

I suppose we'll really have to child-proof the house before July.
