Communication Breakthrough

Recently Lucien learned to shake his head and say no. Mostly he does it in response to us telling him no, such a mimic, but sometimes he will do it himself as he is getting into something he knows he shouldn't. It's kind of cute to watch him admonish himself

Somebody else on my friends list has a son Lucien's age and he had a vocabulary breakthrough this week. I cannot wait for that. Really. I can't wait. I'm great with kids...but just about all of the ones I'm super great with talk. This newborn thing is tough. So much crying and I have no idea if she's hungry, bored, wet, has an itch on her nose that she can't scratch because her hands are still pretty spastic, or is tired but can't sleep. It's making me super motivated to to the baby signing stuff.
