OK, so a wierd time is being had in Chez Drury at the moment.

Charlie got a phone call last Sunday to say that a very good friend of hers was dead. Not pleasant normally, but not entire unusual - by your 30s, you tend to have seen a few funerals.

oh how awful! fingers crossed that they find out what happened/who did it and get a decent prosectution quickly.

'fraid I'm not much help on the dealing with it front. Just let her know you're there for her. If it was me, I think I'd appreciate the honesty of being told "I don't know how to help you, so you just let me know if you need me do to anything and I'll do it".

agree with Tinks really - I'd appreciate the honesty - it opens a channel for her to chat about it and come to you if she want to then - sometimes just knowing that channel is there if you need it helps.

It's horrible news though - I hope it all becomes apparent in the end and that when they find out what happened it will help Charlie with the closure aspect.
