It's been too long since I've written anything here, and to be able to talk about as many subjects as possible, I'm gonna go one topic at a time.

Books
I've been reading a lot this year, finishing off books I started reading years ago. I'm particularly invested in a sci fi collection called Remnants. It's 14 short books by K.A. Applegate

I'm glad to be back! I'm kind of sad I missed out on some interesting conversations we could have had trying to fix the mess of a season we had of Grey's, and any other weird subject we could have ended up talking about (I do love the songs you have been uploading to your LJ), but now I'm willing to catch up

I kind of love how horrible Alex is with money. He clearly has never had much of it and doesn't know how to deal with it. Most of the characters on the show come from money or have lots of it, which is something I wish would get acknowledged on the show, because the constrats are insteresting. That scene with Alex expecting the other shoe to drop is both because no one has ever wanted him like that, show so much interest, and because that amount of money and benefects are way too much for him to understand. When I watched that scene I kept thinking he would have enough money to send Amber to college, and to pay for better doctors for his mom and brother. Now I really want a fic (or just the outline of one) where Alex takes the job and got to meet lots of new people that will probably think he's a total jerk and wonder what's so special about him and he's gonna complain to Meredith over the phone about what a bunch of privileged asses he has to work with and his way of keeping in touch with Cristina is with text messages back and forth

If the show had concentrated in a smaller cast or was willing to change thing around a lot, it could do an awesome storyline following Mer, Cristina and Alex around doing their fellowship in different places. It would take too much money and too many small players regulars, but it's my dream kind of show, after the last episode

Jaaaaaaavi. *glomps* What Japanese authors are you reading? How do you like them? I've just read a couple of books by Akutagawa and I kind of wanna go for Japanese studies... He's that awesome!

Community has been great! I think the Law and Order ep is my favourite of this season, but there had been some very good ones. I'm glad we got another season! And btw did you see Alcatraz? I wanna watch it because of Hurley and Santiago Cabrera, but I heard it just got cancelled. D:
