The candidates for my top ten movies list are all films that I either saw in the theater or through Netflix (57 total). I know that I saw more movies than this, but as I hadn't kept track of the others in any kind of systematic way, I decided to keep my list somewhat limited. Of course, this has led to some controversial exclusions, such as the ( Read more... )

question, is this just movies you saw in 2008, doesnt mean the movie is from 2008? There Will Be Blood is 2007...so i just had to ask.......and yes it was brilliant!!!!!!!!! Seriously his performance was probably the greatest male acting role of all time...i call him the "chameleon" because he can transform himself into anyone...He's never Daniel Day Lewis playing a character...he actually becomes that character...hes amazing to watch as an actor and for his artform ( ... )

Yeah, all these lists are things I saw in 2008, so some older stuff is liable to sneak in. I saw There Will Be Blood right after New Years.

I saw The Wrestler a few weeks ago, and it's great; I wouldn't be surprised to see it on my top ten list of movies I saw in 2009. Aronofsky's vision of Batman would be ... weird. I can't picture it, although I'd love to see it.

MAD MEN! My life will not be complete until I've convinced everyone I know of the greatness of this show. You haven't even gotten to the really good episodes, either!

King of Kong, The Dark Knight and Synecdoche, NY all kind of drive me insane with their awesomeness. Well, Synecdoche drives me insane in a lot of ways.

Bah. Synecdoche, NY could drive even the craziest person to new and untested depths of insanity.
