i was fortunately able to contact the seller and she said she is still going to ship the dvds to me. I guess the reason they were taken off e-bay at the last minute was that someone on the staff noticed that the add was for "unmarked dvds" which mean they were burned copies of the originals which means bootlegs which are technically not allowed to be sold on ebay. whew, now that thats said.

I found some websites on growing your own hay. Maybe you can plant some hay plants and just let them graze after it's established.

I got the idea researching cover crops and reading about how some are good for forage. You could try growing some oats and clover, or alfalfa.

hey thanks for the info, unfortunately we only have one acre and two horses, not enough land to do rotations. we do plant rye grass in the winter if it doesnt rain too much it will grow, not very nutritional but it works.we were unable to plant any summer grasses this year because of all the rain and flooding, that killed all our native grass too.hopefully soon i can have a place with more acres and the horses will have plenty to eat.
