Yesterday… A regular group of bagel attenders… one from the past… so many things happening at once in her life… her first car… maybe changing jobs… from working with autistic children in the schools to contracting with educational companies… maybe moving to another apartment, maybe staying… all in all doing well… the rest of the group doing well… ( Read more... )

It's an awesome day in the neighborhood.

It was an excellent couple of days… drove down to L.A. and saw the Easter play at the Crystal Cathedral... a great show. The next day hung out at Disneyland. From Indiana Jones… to It’s a Small World… to the monorail… many of their rides weren’t working… but all in all a great adventure… very tasty and great weather… but… it’s good to be home.

After church, spent the afternoon with the bagels folks... it's amazing... and a bit scary at times... how poorly the insights people have into medical issues and mental health issues... they would rather believe the myths or movie views rather than reality... it's especially disturbing when one of them is also a "mental health professional." Always there… usually always something to say… it’s been 13 years, yes… I’m pretty sure it’s been 13 years… always good for a laugh or a bit of news… his face showed no lines of age… not even a wrinkle… and yet his spark has gone out… no longer bright-faced… no longer something to say… very sad… Sony was a good tv… I’ll miss him…

They Live… no not the awesome sci-fi sociopolitical movie spectacular of the same title… with one of the longest fight scenes in movie history… but they live… my now daily interaction with the critters which inhabit the neighborhood ( Read more... )
