so when everything seems its slowly coming back together it tends to fall completely apart again. last night was a really emotional night. Jessica no long lives at the house according to her parents. she had/has been dating someone that is 15, and who is also someone of a different race, which her parents dont approve of...im at a total loss. I wish I had an answer, but I don't. You are in a difficult position. Someone that you care about is being hurt by others that you care about, and argueably need. There is no good answer.

You don't get a vote over who Jessica dates, just as I didn't get a vote over the girls that my Brothers dated or who my sister went out with. You can pick and choose your friends, but you can't pick and choose your friend's friends.

Best alternative may be to just not choose up sides if you can avoid it. Play your cards close, and don't get yourself into a situation where you piss off her parents - or her.

You may not believe this, but your life will improve and the drama will decrease. As you gain independence through the passage of time, and class years, your options will broaden. And then, perhaps, you can ask her to live with you.

Her parents could never argue with that. You would be the perfect 'big brother' for her! Older, smarter, and you'd never want to mess around with her.
