It was! I had a great time, and it was wonderful to follow in Tolkien's footsteps.

I had a great time - there is so much to see and do! The tube strike didn't make life too difficult as I walked or got a bus where possible.

Ohhh, sounds so lovely. I haven't been to London in years but I always loved it. I feel I know Oxford because I'm a nerd about Lewis and Morse and Endeavour but I've never actually been there and would love to go! Glad you had a good time :-)

Oxford is lovely, and the colleges fascinating! I glimpsed a TV crew filming Lewis while I was there, but didn't see anyone famous.

That all sounds fun. Although very bad timing with the tube strike.

I had a great time, but the timing could have been better! However with the exception of Wednesday evening (when it was all supposed to over!) travel wasn't too difficult.
