FaceBook Friends

#FirstWorldProblems

I have a work colleague who keeps trying to friend me on Facebook. I don't quite have the nerve to tell her I'll never friend her in a thousand years, but every time I see her she reminds me. What to do?

The suggestions made about FB being for keeping up with your family are excellent and will probably work well. Don't give in. Your life outside work is totally your own!

I have this problem quite often. I tell work colleagues that I keep my facebook for family only and I don't actually like going on there but it's necessary if I want to keep up with what is going on. Then I give a nod and a sigh, as if I cannot be bothered with any of it. It has never failed me yet :)

Seriously, just ignore it and tell her it's only for family. Let her assume you're never on FB. It's a very bad idea to have work colleagues friended there.
