LOL no the only thing living inside my head is um.... well not much at the moment.
When living in Mount Isa we used to get lots of storm runoff from cyclones, and even had some destructive winds from one in the Gulf destroy our shed. Fortunately we were standing in the front yard at the time and not the back yard else there could have been some injuries. Watching pieces of your shed travel 500m and get dumped in a creek is rather exciting when you're 16 years old :-) The shed dad built after that one was secured to the ground with cement and tent pegs :-D
Alas with all the summer storms during cyclone season we used to have daily blackouts around 5pm. It's difficult to entertain yourself with no tv, no air conditioning and a huge storm raging around the house. Especially in January when you're on holidays and already had trouble entertaining yourself ;-) [5 children in my family so the fights from boredom were usually all-in brawls]

Good grief, I can imagine!
I've been fortunate enough not to witness anything like that, though a storm in 2000 uprooted a lot of very large trees around the city. Didn't see it, but seeing the trees post uprooting (poor trees) helped realise the power of the storm. Never seen one so strong.
I believe our house's gutter was torn off and hurtled into a house (friend) in the next block back. Long time ago now, before my birth I think.
Ya know, within my family, expressing joy when it rains is pretty close to suicide. (I totally lacked a decent analogy there, so my apologies for the poor one I came up with.)
We're in the concreting business, so rain is bad. I'd love to live in a place where rain can be appreciated, coz I really do like rain. Thunder and lightning are also very cool, but having as many computers to take care of as I do, I can't even enjoy them.
Ha, we're so very nerdy. ;) I too love lightning but whenever it's around I think of my computer and router. So responsible but sad I can't enjoy the storms.

I'm not sure people closer to the cyclone might be so enthusiastic, but yes; hurrah.

No wonder I'm so sick.
