Carlypocalypse Now

This may not make much sense to anyone but Californians, but...I have been mesmerized all evening by the #demonsheep twitter feed.

Also, this:

The S.F.T.E.O.D.S.F.O.P.D.

I would never in a million years vote for Chuck Devore, but I'm glad to see his campaign has a sense of humor.

It really is. Sometimes, that's the only comfort!

Well, it is your state, and not mine. We have crazies too, but nothing too over the top just right now.

It really says something that in comparison to many of these candidates, Ahhhhhnold looks like a statesman. *Cries for my state*

This is so bizarre. Yet oddly compelling. I can't really decide if TPTB at Chuck Devore's campaign are geniuses or idiots.

Totally random, but: you changed your default icon! It's quite pretty, but I have to tell you I did a double take. I'm so used to your other icon. LOL.

Don't blame Chuck Devore's people! They're merely mocking Carly Fiorina's insane video.

Which maybe you haven't seen. But you must! It's merely cheesy until about the 2:20 mark, but then it gets surreal.

Here it is, in all it's drug-addled glory.

And yes, I have had that default icon for eons and decided to change it. the new one kind of tells you where I live, except not directly.

Oh! Now I understand. See, I have seen that video, but I thought it was a parody. And so I thought it was really weird when Chuck Devore started talking about it on his website. I found the whole thing very surreal. But now that I know the video is legitimate...oh god. I think it was the sheep with the devil eyes that got me. And the thumping, Lord of the Rings-style music in the background. How could anybody have thought that was a good idea?

And don't you just love our pretty Bay Area landmarks? btw, what was your old icon a picture of? It looked like a stained window glass design to me, but I could never figure out what it was from.

The old icon was a mandala design by an artist I found somewhere online and thought was pretty! But it was time for a change.

As for the new one, I picked that particular landmark because I can truthfully say that I live "on Alcatraz" -- which gets me funny looks from people who don't know Oakland streetnames. ;-)

No idea what's going on here but I do like it when politics isn't always SRS BSNS. And expressing my approval of your new default icon! Damn, I wish my city was so pretty.

Well, the place in the icon is pretty from a distance -- but kind of creepy and run-down up close! But the scenery is one of the main reasons I moved here from the vast interior of the continent!
