Instead, it's just extremely comfortable in its own skin -- it accepts its own inherent cheesiness, dresses up in sparkles, dances around and shouts: THIS IS WHO I AM! AND I'M HAPPY THIS WAY! HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE ME WHEN I'LL DO HANDSPRINGS TO AMUSE YOU?

This is the best summation ever. And they keep surpassing themselves with every episode. You don't even have to feed it catnip - the writers are doing it themselves.

Oh! And I am about halfway through S2 of TSCC, too.

Now I know why you warned me about John. I'm *this* close to cheering on Skynet. ;-)

Argh, John. How can Sarah Connor's son possibly be so whiny argh?

Whiny I could handle. But he goes beyond whiny. He's often foolhardy in a really selfish way, as opposed to foolhardy in a heroic way (like, say, Richard!).

All the other characters are quite interesting, though, so I keep watching!

I watch this show when I can. Did you know that Bruce Spence (who portrays the wizard) was also the pilot in "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome" and was the voice of Sauron in "The Return of the King"? Bruce Spence. What a great addition to ANY movie/series!

Yeah, "Legend of the Seeker" is cheesy, but it's fun like Buffy, Hercules, and Xena. Guilty-pleasure fun.

Yes, and apparently it's by the same people who created Xena and Hercules, which explains the similarity!

I haven't seen the Mad Max movie (or Return of the King, believe it or not!), but Bruce Spence still looks familiar. I'm sure I've seen him in something at some point.

nd shouts: THIS IS WHO I AM! AND I'M HAPPY THIS WAY! HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE ME WHEN I'LL DO HANDSPRINGS TO AMUSE YOU?

HAHAHA. I believe you've described it to a T.

Um...you managed to start with S1? Huh. See, there weren't enough handsprings or cartwheels or women to get me to watch it in full. Only the Mord'Sith kept my attention - not even Kahlan.

Sooo I figured I'd start with S2, and lo and behold: I enjoyed the hell out it and especially Cara/Kahlan. For some reason, S1 is now fun and watchable since I'm craving more material. *g* Also...Denna. Heart.

BUT when it doesn't offer the kinky crack I want - like the "puppeteer" ep in S1 - then nothing can save it and I get really, really bored. Good thing that doesn't happen in S2. *g* Thank you, Cara.

Also, there's quite a bit of cracky good fic for such a young pairing/fandom.

I'm OCD enough about TV shows that I *have* to watch them in order. *g* They were just silly enough to keep me watching (and I was spoiled for the next season, so I knew there would be greater rewards ahead if I persisted), but I do confess to multi-tasking through a few of them.

I'm now a few eps into S2, and you're right: with Cara, things have moved up to a whole new level of cracky fun.

This show has somehow become my strange addiction. Partly because of swatkat24 I think. It's like a comforter, I come home with my brain dribbling out of my ears from all kinds of woes at work, and watch the pretty. There's so much about it that I ought to hate, but at the same time there's so very much that I love.

I blasted through all the episodes there are in about two weeks. I'm glad I'm not the only one that she's got hooked lol

It *is* comforter-like. Or comfort-food-like. You know there's no nutritional value in it, but you just keep eating because it makes you feel good!

But that would be like pulling the tail of a fluffy, adorable kitten. I think I would rather just pet it.

lololol you are making me want to watch another show purely on the basis of your reviews making me giggle!

It's filmed in the Southern Hemisphere! Does that entice you? *g*
