This is short and only vaguely spoilery, but I'll cut anyway!

LOL my reaction was like, "oh look Keith Carradine is on a horse!" I've pretty much given up trying to decipher those dreams, much less Patty's relationship with the sort-of architect. I actually kind of wanted to see a little more of her interactions with him --but I'm just not seeing TPTB taking time out of the finale. Maybe we'll see more of him next season? It seems like they might stretch the movie plotline out as well--it's amusing enough and seems like a good way to keep Ted Danson on, so I'm all right with it.

I'm SO excited for the finale. *bounces* But Tom! Nooooo! And how is it that I'm suddenly sympathizing with Lenny? I thought Joe was supposed to be the ~sympathetic Tobin~ but now he's an evil daughter-killing self-righteous psycho, so it seems the show is not going that route. I really, really hope the show gets renewed. Do you know anything about that? All this talk of deal-making and switching it to another network is making me nervous. ;(

You're right -- there's an awful lot to wrap up in one episode! I can't imagine how they'll do it.

Lenny/Lester is strangely likable. He's been winning me over, episode by episode, without my really being actively aware of it! And yeah, Joe is just reprehensible. His speech about how his father's death has been good for him because it gave him a purpose! God.

I don't know anything about renewal! I'm as nervous as you.

What is up with the horse and the walls? I am really curious about that. Really, really weird.

Oh, and I hope Lester's father totally takes the Tobin's money. :-) I think Patty will pwn him, though.

I like Leonard/Lester! Sure, he's an impostor, but he's got more of a conscience than any of the Tobins will ever have. I'm surprised that he didn't tell Joe that Tessa was his daughter once Joe started abusing him, though. (Although maybe that was smart, now that I think about it for a few seconds longer -- they were alone in that apartment, and Joe might've gone nuts.)

I thought that was one of the best scenes in the episode. You could see the play of emotions across Lenny's face--he was definitely thinking of doing it (and I almost wanted him to, the way Joe was treating him), but you could tell his mind was working, trying to do the prudent thing. A nice piece of acting by Martin Short.

I agree that was an awesome scene. They are so brothers. Only brothers sling nasty words at each other like that--and hit their mark.

Can't wait for next week!
