Awww! *hugs* You have no idea how happy I am that I'm counted as one of your friends!! :) I'm not very good with letting people get close to me, sort of like what I feel you're describing, so I may seem like I'm totally awkward and trying to ignore people who try to get closer, but that's just because I really haven't had a close circle of friends before roughly this year. I'm sort of that...insecure girl who's not very sure of herself and wonders what people see in her and why they'd want to even get closer to her, and I think that probably shows a lot in how I react with people around me. I guess where I'm getting with this is if you ever feel like you want to share what's going on in your head with me, I'm totally a good listener and would love to help out. I just have no clue how to go about such things myself and...I guess a good way to define me is socially awkward ;) But that's definitely something I'm working on lately, if you can't tell ( ... )

I have almost the opposite problem - I've always been good with people and making friends in all situations. It's just a fake person I'm showing off, and therefore I get questionable friends ( ... )

Good, I'm glad that it did! I never know sometimes if what I'm babbling about actually makes sense to other people!! I definitely don't think it's stuck-up of you to think you have good qualities. It's normal to do so, in fact! Sometimes those of us who are optimistics are usually striving to be so perfectly optimistic that we wind up being pessimistics in the end to most people. It's like...we push and we push for everything to be happy and to always look on the brighter side, but we wind up finding flaws in everything because of it. It's kind of ironic, if you think about it ( ... )

sometimes, when i read things you write and when i talk to you... i think that we are the same person... and i think that is really cool... and i think we should talk more... i can subject you to me and you can subject me to you... and i think that would be great, because i am with out a best friend as well... just throwing that out there.

well, you know i don't care. because i obviously don't.

but, hypothetically speaking, if i did, i would call into the argument the fact that you've shared more with me about yourself than a lot of other people, and i like to think that i handled it pretty well. i like knowing what's on people's minds. if i can stop talking long enough to hear them.

speak!

Even though you "gave up" this friend, I still think about you and wish you the best.

Just wanted to let you know.

thanks. it's not like I didn't enjoy being with you guys, but there are more important things to friendship. I still think about you too, and will always wish you the best.
