{Semipoem} Liquid

Feb 14, 2007 18:56

Raindrops,
Slipping off the edge
Of black, stark umbrella.
Your summer dress a spot
Of colour in utilitarian grey,
Your smile an oasis of calm.
Rosy, sweet - I yearned
To touch, hesitant,
Your lips.

Honey,
Breakfast, thick, succulent,
That sensuous, viscuous
Feeling of syrupy wetness
Clinging to your fingers.
I controlled myself,
Watching the liquid
Daintily drip off of
Your digits.

Tears
Of frustration, incompletion
Stream down the beauty
Of your face. I mark
You, your body, whisper,
"Mine," in the shell of
Your ear -- And finally
Allow you to cry out in
Your fulfillment.

My love for you,
Liquid--
Beautiful when cool,
Excited while heated,
Passionate at its height.

A bowl of fudge
A comforting touch,
Love under the candlelight,
On this special night.

A/N: Somehow I feel like the last stanza doesn't quite seem to fit..but after all, this's supposed to be a Valentine's Poem. So, yup...a bit of a blush-inducing one, it's written from the POV of a guy who likes looking at...ahem...well-drawn liquid in manga as much as I do. :P This's the poem accompanying a bowl of fudge in a pretty hand-made bowl in shades of purple, a fuzzy teddy bear holding the usual tacky heart, and a sapphire jewelry box, the V Day gifts prepared by him for her.
