I've been out at a Christian camp this summer...working as the Sr. Girls Counselor...it's been good to get to know my staff and help them out. I'm going back to Northwest University in the fall, and I'll be in my Senior year, studying Psychology. After that, I want to go to Seminary to study to become a pastor.
I am planning my wedding with my wonderful fiance Andrew. I also recently broke my foot. So I've been doing alot of crawling around the house. I should get a cast on it monday, and then it is 6 weeks from there. ech.
I'm going into my senior year at Amherst College, which means next year I'll be out in the 'real world,' but right now I'm not feeling too much direction from God on what I am supposed to do after graduation, so that's a bit frustrating.
Other than that I am loving life right now: I'm at my college this summer planning a community service trip for the new freshmen. So the job is great, my living situation is great, and I have so many good friends just living minutes from me.
So things are going very well for me. Congrats on the new job, and good luck with the house hunting, devotionals, and cd.
I have been spending my summer working at my Aunt's jewelry store as a sales associate and offical gopher. I've been singing a lot as well, both in church and out of. I wish I could sing more but my voice teacher has been in and out of the hospital all summer long. And... I bought my first car. : )
I'm going to be a senior in high school this year. I don't know if you'll remember me. I didn't comment much; mostly just read the devos. I'm a waitress in a chinese restaurant where I regularly get to practice my spanish with the workers in the kitchen :)
I recently returned (one week ago yesterday) from a 3 week long mission trip to the Dominican Republic with an organization called Adventures In Missions based out of Gainsville, GA. It was amazing! and completely changed my walk with God. I've also been asked to mentor one or two new to high school girls here at home. :)
God's been amazing and will continue to be. Keep allowing yourself to used by Him and please don't ever get caught up in the routine of church
