I was scolded for not having updated, so here goes, I actually have something to talk about today, woohoo. So, I called OCC yesterday to find out the time of my orientation (they only told me what day it was-which, according to the letter they sent, was Thursday). They tell me that it technically starts at 8:30, but they make it sound like it's really loosely done and you just kinda go and there are people there to help you out if you need it, and that my orientation was Wednesday. This is good news to me, as I have to work Thursday. I decide not to wake up at 6:30 so I can be ready to leave by just before 8, so I get there just before 11. The group had just broke for lunch, and come to find out they had this really rigid schedule that they were following. oops. They had a motivational speaker there, some guy from Survivor (the tv show) who lost his leg, and the guy that greeted me at the door was like "wow, did you see ::the guy from survivor::? Did you see his leg? Yeah, I know...it's like, wow, huh?" I'm sorry, was I supposed to know who this guy is? again, oops...
Instead of going to lunch like everyone else, I bought my books (::shakes fist at professors who posted required books too late for me to eBay them in time, resulting in my spending more money -_-::), brought the books back to my car, got my parking pass and ID, and still had time to spare. I was going to stay for the campus tour until I realized that that was scheduled at 3, and it was only like 12:20... so I studied the map and found all six buildings without a problem, so I just left.
I went to Patti's later for a Lia Sophia party, and I ended up buying a set of what I like to refer to as "boyfriend jewelry", lol, and putting Jackie's order on my order so she'd get her ring half price. I agreed to do a party to help out Patti, and I wanted to do it Thanksgiving because then I'd know family would be around to buy it, and it'd be close to Christmas, but then realized that because I wouldn't have the main person there to actually display the jewelry it might not count as a "show" for Patti, defeating the purpose. I dunno, hopefully I can schedule it on a day where my family members (i.e. female cousins and maybe their bfs) can come over and look at things, and I'll invite Patti's mom or something. Bah. At least I got a nice bracelet for agreeing to do it though (unbeknownst to me at the time) :o)
I have to work today (it's after midnight now), 1:45 to 10:30, ew. The vice president of the company is coming to see the store, so everyone is going to be all tense and it's going to be a bunch of bull for 9 hours or so. blech.
Friday I'm finally implementing J-Triple T, it should be awesome, even if it does rain like they're predicting. :o\
I have to set up my desk this weekend, meaning I have to clean....eww..
Days until slightly happier: 16
it's long, I cut if for the sanity of friends' pages.
