The other night at a very late hour I was in bed indulging on Dexter. It must have been 3 or 4 in the morning when I heard a giant slam out on the boulevard. Easily it could have been someone or something digging around in the garbage bins alongside the construction across the street. However it turned out to be something personal and much worse

That sucks. Having been in an accident and having had all kinds of awful things done to my car while it was parked outside my house, just be glad a) it wasn't your fault and b) you've got insurance. with those two things on your side, it can only be so bad.

Unfortunately when my dad had me sign up for my insurance this year no one told me I was not insured for uninsured collision damage, so I'm shit out of luck insurance wise. Lesson learned.

Absolutely could have been worse though. I could have been in the car. Perhaps the uninsured shall do the right thing and pay up.

Hope you're doing awesome. Things well since you got the raise? The work still fun and engaging?

Yeah, I had only liability insurance on my car as well -- you get screwed when you've only got the bare minimum. It's good you're okay.

Things are good! I'm very busy, but loving the new job. Congress is an insane trainwreck, but an trainwreck I'm getting really good at navigating.
