Ok, I have this Independent Study Project I have to present for English, and my topic deals with being gay as a teenager. Now we have a choice of presenting it in front of the class or just in front of the teacher. And Im flip flopping like crazy.. Maybe you should log on aim or something once in a while. I think you should do what makes you feel the most comfortable.

well today, i had to present my 20 page paper which is on the divisions in society due to homosexuality...although the presentation lasted only 7 minutes it was still enough time for me to receieve a reaction from the class, which was positive.

Making a Stand

The fact is that you are going to get both positive and negative reactions. The important focus should be on your comfort with yourself and who you are. It is fairly safe to say that this is not a life and death situation. So it has everything to do with your ability to rise above any potential negative reactions. Finally, you mentioned that the people here should not feel bad about you if you do not do it in front of the class...the same goes back to you....don't beat yourself up if you choose to present only in front of the teacher. You will make your stand when it is comfortable for you to do so. Good Luck

It depends were you are, if your in a more tolerant area then go for it, but if your in a place such as...lets say...my town I'd be carful. I lot of people are dickheads. Granted there are a few jewels out there, but not too many. Peace~FA

I didnt get to do it in front of the class. I just videotaped it and gave it to my teach. Something personal that was more important kind of got in the way so I didnt have enough time to prepare or anything. But thank you guys for supporting me :) Luv ya lots
