Motherfucker! The paper's not due until the 4th now, but we have to do an English exam. The English Department at Queen's is going to provide it.
Dear All,
I am expecting clarity later today from Queen's, but believe that the following will now be the format:
Essay maintained as is (length 1200-1500), now due Monday, 4 April, by noon to Admin Office. This will be marked by Andrew Loman, who is also available for consultation in the preparation stages.
Exam to be modified (taking place as scheduled on exam timetable) by Queen's Dept of English. Herewith an extract from the Departmental e-mail received in this regard:
"for 110, would you please have the students finish their essay as
originally planned and we'll supply an exam based mainly on sight passages
so they are not disadvantaged by being examined by someone other than
their instructor (i.e., the exam will not ask for particular information
supplied in lectures but will test (a) familiarity with texts studied in
class and (b) critical abilities, e.g., for close reading). I will supply
you with the exam, along with an abstract rubric for the students'
benefit, but this may take a couple of days."
We can discuss what this means tomorrow when I meet you in your regular scheduled ENGL 110X class time. Please do not be alarmed by any of the above, I can assure you that the Dept of English and the ISC are collaborating to ensure that you are not (further) disadvantaged by what has happened, either in terms of the mark you receive or the credibility of the course.

In Moral Issues today we watched a bit of video on the human genome project and it was the same one we watched in grade 11 Biology class, the NOVA documentary that featured the movie Gattica. After we watched that Éadaoin kept asking Mr. Loster if we could watch Gattica in class. We have it here at Bader, I should go watch it. Biology Club Nostalgia, hahaha.
