Venice is beautiful. Our hotel (not hostel, hotel) is swanky and still not that much more expensive than other places we've stayed. Don't worry Denise, I have taken pictures. We keep talking to old people. On the train today we talked for two hours with this couple from California, and as we were leaving a restaurant today we were stopped by

:-) You will love it. It is a good city for wandering aimlessly and just ABSORBING everything - hardly any of those crazy guys who try to sell you shit on the street, they seem to all stay around the Rialto bridge.

Awwww, I miss Venice already. I was totally ahead of you crazy kids in my Venician adventures. My mother spent like 200 euro in Murano glass... the real stuff, too, not from a tourist show. I guess I'll inherit them, too bad they're so fugly.
