I read somewhere that the key behavioural difference between people who get sick lots and everyone else is that the sickies have lots of habits that involve putting their hands in or near their mouths. So if you're one of those people you either need to quit it, or wash your hands way more often.
Are you spending lots of time with someone who works in a hospital? When I lived with Suzie I caught all kinds of nasty bugs. Actually, she gave me another one when I visited last month.
As someone who actually is unemployed and does spend most weekdays at home, I'm fairly confident in saying that while the mystique of being home on a weekday may lose some of its mystique-ness over time, the sweet glory of not having to be somewhere in the middle of the morning or afternoon is fairly constant. But if I had nothing to do at all, I probably would indeed become pretty bored pretty quickly.

that's probably true about people putting their hands in their mouths. i chew my nails all the time. that can't be helping the situation any.
i think i might buy a vacuum identical to yours...for nostalgia purposes.
