I hate anticipating "Thank you!" It happens regularly, since my job consists in large part of someone requesting information about their case and me looking up that information, whether the information is who their caseworker is or when their case was closed or exactly what benefits they have active ( Read more... )

We're supposed to thank people, but that's led to some gratitude throw-downs when a customer is thanking me.

So I got used to saying "No problem!" or "Happy to help!" instead, and then got attitude because "No problem" is so flippant, and young people these days don't know how to simply say "You're welcome"...
