Work today was pretty busy. I took it upon myself today to ask my manager for 30 minutes of her time to "discuss" certain things. Mainly, I wanted a raise. I've been working there for about a year and a half and haven't seen a dime more. So I did it, in my charming/smooth sort of way...HAH! Yea right, I was nervous as hell. I've never asked

Thanks. Unfortunately, I didn't hear from her today. On another sad note, I found out another one of my coworkers got let go today. No because of money issues but because of HR issues. Apparently, one of the employees (our "supervisor" so to speak), is a afraid of losing his job or something. Normally, he's a great guy to joke around with. Not too bright to be in the IT field, but an okay guy. Well, my coworker jokingly said something to him...he took offense to it...and rather than be like "hey, I didn't appreciate what you said to me blah blah blah"...he goes crying to HR and eventually, gets my coworker canned since he's a contractor. This guy wasn't that respected to begin with and I'm positive he will get absolutely no respect from anyone in the company now.
