2007 sucks so far!

This year just seems to be getting from bad to worst. I got laid off this month. What's even more whack is that I got laid off for pretty much being sick. Not literally, but sort of. So I used a few sick and personal days this year and then bam, pink eye so I'm out for 3 or 4 days. Then I go back to work, bust my ass, and the next day, BAM, ( Read more... )

Awww, sorry to hear, Jay!
I remember when we were talking about it, you mentioned that there was a possibility that you could get laid off but I really didn't think it could happen especially since you had a valid reason to take that time off. What, did they want you to come to work and give everyone pink eye and strep throat just so you could be "available"? Jeez.
Anyway, you weren't feelin' that commute, right? Maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

The interview went alright. I was one of the first to be interviewed so it'll take a while before they call back for a second one. I've got another interview lined up this coming Monday at the Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside. I also have a few options from recruiters with Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, and some engineering company. So yeah, maybe it was a blessing. =)

Petey!!! I miss you bro! Yeah, it really sucks but as I said the post above, maybe it was a blessing. I've got a bunch of opportunities lined up so we'll see what happens! Can't wait for your housewarming. We gotta do softball again this year. Maybe another poker day sometime as well...when I have a job that is. hehe
