i just settled my self for these long ago when they talk about delays and the stupid JJ and his super 8 thingy.
so i only hope NO MORE UHURA/SPOCK, MORE TREK ADVENTURE, and more K/S moments anything. i want a lot of good plot trek adventure! with a good tridimentional villian and crew My Kirk being Kirk, My Spock being Spock and at Jim's side! And More Bones, and less Uhura YAY!!!!
It's a team sport. Remember how long the writers have been stalling (not very professional, either!). Would you rather they started production without a decent script? Because that's the decision that's in JJ's hands, "are we ready to start shooting this now?" If he's spending any time worrying about what the film will be up against if they start shooting tomorrow versus next month, that's energy wasted, IMHO. And, frankly, I'd rather wait ten years than have another Star Trek: Nemesis. Or Insurrection. Or First Contact. Or... well, you know how I feel about the TNG movies. :-|
Oh I agree with you on the matter of rushing and producing something sub-par vs. waiting and producing excellence. Like I pointed out, 'Insurrection' was a clear example of what happens when the script is rushed or not even completed prior to filming (we end up with enough plot holes or inconsistencies to fill a black hole... "You never kissed me with a beard before" case in point

I know, right?! Just my luck. Oh well, I foresee a trip to visit mother in the future (she still lives on Oahu). ;-)
