I'm feeling all nostalgic today. We took Savannah to see the new Muppets movie yesterday. What? Projecting? Whatever do you mean? *innocent expression* Tis true, though, as someone raised during the Sunday Night Muppet Show era, the Muppets tend to put me in a happy place.
Ah, memories of a life pre-responsibilities, pre-bills, pre-getting annoyed at pushy, shovey Christmas shoppers at the mall with no concept of personal space, but I digress. Anyway, I may or may not have Sarah McLachlan's version of "The Rainbow Connection" playing right now (and yes
nix_this, I can hear you laughing at me as I type this ;-)). Like I said, happy place, thus if my soon-to-be graying Generation X roots are showing, this is why hair dye was invented.
Anyway, yes, Savannah liked the movie okay, but believes Sponge Bob is better. I do believe I am failing as a parent *sigh* (for the record, I'm blaming Josh's side of the gene pool for this one ;-)).
Man, November sure went by rather fast, didn't it? Blinked and it's nearly gone.
Still, for someone who makes procrastination a near art form, I'm not doing too badly this year...
Advent fic ready for posting on Thursday morning.
Christmas shopping mostly done, with the exception of a few stragglers.
Diet on hold while there are still Thanksgiving leftovers afoot (whoever invented pumpkin pie has my lifelong deep and abiding affection) which means I've probably gained five pounds these past four days alone, but well, pumpkin pie. This is why New Years resolutions were invented. ;-)
Am actually pondering doing something fairly domesticated (the shock, it burns us) and baking things this year.
... It really is the time of year for miracles. XD
Thank you everyone for the good Thanksgiving wishes. I hope you guys had a wonderful holiday! *hugs*
