More Takei Macros and a ST Comic Rec...
So I've had kind of a crappy day. Which has been the culmination of kind of a crappy week. And it's only Tuesday *sigh*. So I thought, I need a laugh and a smile. Where are the first places I visit when I need a laugh and a smile? That's right, George Takei's facebook page and awesome ST comics. :D
And then I thought, hell, it's Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa, tis the season of *cough* holiday cheer... I'm sure my flist needs a laugh, too. So I picked the best Takei macros of the latest batch to share. These are for you nix_this!
Also, I want to rec a comic. A really awesome ST K/S comic. I should probably put a disclaimer that the person who drew this is a friend of mine, because apparently some people feel the rec'ing work done by friends is showing favoritism and being biased and shows remarkable propensity towards mutual love fests, and yes, this was actually pointed out. Apparently we on livejournal need to adapt to a random friending pool, so we don't end up with a flist of people whose work we admire and then proceed to rec said admirable people to the detriment of others and their time-management concerns. Oh wait, what if we randomly end up with someone with whom we admire? Crap, I guess that system wont work either. Well, damn....(Yes, those last few sentences were complete snark. I have a terrible cold. I'm more prone to give into my periods of grouch today, and probably tomorrow as well. Hell, Thursday isn't looking so good either. :D)
You know what, hell, I'm just going to say it. My flist is AWESOME. Each one of you is talented and fabulous and I love, i.e.adore entirely, your writing/art/vids/posts. I'm so willing to own that opinion.
So, yes, I'm going to rec my those on my flist. In fact, I think I'm going to take to rec'ing people on my flist more often because they deserve it, and I don't show them I appreciate them nearly enough. Watch me do it. :P
Today's rec is by the lovely and witty corcalamus, who is doing an ongoing and totally awesome ST K/S and Food Network Challenge Fusion. See my new default icon *points*, it's from said comic. Awesome, right? corcalamus is new to Trek fandom, but I, for one, am hoping she stays forever and ever. Also, she did equally fantastic art in the same 'verse. So why are you still here? Go show her love!
