Wow, this was a nice POV story.
Love that you slipped in the Devil in the Dark scene, because seriously how does Spock go from "Must preserve all life" to "OMG JIM'S IN DANGER KILL IT" if it wasn't out of some affection, if not love?

If you're getting multiple responses from me I apologize, livejournal is not behaving very well tonight. :(

I've replied twice now and both comments have been eaten. But, I'm going to try this again...

Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate your kind heartwarming words. Also, "Devil in the Dark" is awesome, hands down. That scene couldn't have been more slashy if they tried. ;)

*grinning from ear to ear*

How brilliant was that? XDDD

I'll spare you a repeat of my running commentary, but it's been a while since I enjoyed any fic so much, let alone a ST one. WEll done you. :DDD

Awww thank you darling. Best compliment ever. I'm so tickled you liked it (even more tickled that you read ST fic for me).

Also, your running commentary was the BEST!

Well done tale, really liked the POV from a crew member. This took work to put together, Kirk and Spock shine true to character, as does life on the Enterprise. The small town in space reference gives much to think on...and perhaps write future tales about.

Thank you for a good read on this rainy evening.

Very different from the other fics I've read, and I liked it that way! There aren't many fics written from this sort of perspective, and it really worked. Nice writing! Thanks for sharing! :)

Can you believe I squealed like an idiot when I logged to my LJ inbox and found you posted a new fic?

Too bad it's late and I've got to go to bed. ç_ç

Expect a quite estatic and no-sensical comment as soon as I have the time to enjoy it. ;)

Awww, thanks, love. You really know how to make a girl feel good. Needed it, too, it's been a stressful day. Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy it when you do read it. :)

Wow, just wow. I don't know what to say. What amazing feedback. I'm so touched you warmed up to my Martin. I'm not usually an OC girl. But when the idea for this story hit, I just had to do it. It wouldn't let me go until I did.

As for the psychology stuff, I'm sorry it brought back horrible memories for you. I was simply trying to explain a large part of what makes Jim tick. Although he may seem like he where's his feelings on his chest, he's always been a very private character, better at hiding himself behind a mask than even Spock. I saw this in TOS Kirk and I see it in the Reboot incarnation, too. So my purpose with that part was trying to convey that concept.

Thank you so much for your wonderful, heartwarming feedback. I'm so tickled you enjoyed this piece!
