I knew I was in trouble when I started toying with using Facebook as a blogging device.  Maybe this is an outlet I need again.  It's sad that none of my old crew are around to listen on the other end of the tin can, but ultimately that's not what a journal is about either ( Read more... )

I'm still here. I'm always here. ;)

But seriously, I think I need an outlet too. I'm just so stressed all the time, and I need a place to write and organize at least some of my thoughts. Glad to see you are back for (hopefully) the long run!

OTOH I posted for real on LJ for the first time ever. :D On the year when everyone is counting down to Twitter demise I started using Twitter. And then I wanted a place to post something longer... so LJ!

I'm really glad LJ is still around doing its thing. I doubt they have trouble keeping the lights on. OTOH Livejournal isn't going to be a billion dollar company anytime soon. For some companies that would be enough to shutdown. But I guess they never made any crazy promises (like Twitter did) so they are fine being small, useful and probably banking some cash.

My year in gaming: Sherry doesn't work at home anymore, so the Linux workstation wasn't seeing much use. I got an SSD, installed Windows 10 and started playing Fallout New Vegas. I'm not sure if I'll get Fallout 4 on release, but probably.

Whoa, I didn't even think to check to see if YOU posted something. lol

Livejournal has apparently been really big in Russia for the past five or six years, so it doesn't matter so much how many Americans still use it.

3D Fallout (3, New Vegas) is pretty fun! I still haven't played the first set of games, but I picked them up cheap, so... someday.

Yea New Vegas is great. I might go back and play the older Fallout's as well. I liked fighting for California, disappointed Fallout 4 is on the other coast. :)
