That was well weird; I spotted my friend's penpal (by her name badge) and we wandered over to her and I asked if she'd seen anyone called (insert Jayne's real name here) and there she was, standing next to my friend's penpal!! Someone who Jayne had only just met, too!
Ah, happy memories!
Btw, Jayne was the only person who brought my zine ... which was probably as well as it wasn't very good! I was a terrible fanfic writer way back then and gave it up completely until a couple or so years ago when I asked Jayne to write a story with me ... it was supposed to be humour and parody ... it turned into a decent non-humour, non-parody story instead ... to our utter surprise!
Shall I admit to the fandom we used to be in all those years ago...?
But it was a good training ground for what you write now, which I will admit has matured nicely. :)
Just think of it, if I hadn't bought your zine, you wouldn't have had me to encourage you and be your beta! What have I unleashed on an unsuspecting world!!!!!!!!!
Also, if I hadn't bought your zine, we wouldn't have had a friendship that has lasted.....cough....years.
Freaky!! Wow. It always amazes me how small the world is in moments like this. That even if you don't know it you could have a connection you're not aware of with the stranger sitting right next to you.
I'd heard colleagues talking about someone before and although we have never ever move in the same circles it was just too similar. Except for one thing - they really liked him and kept trying to get him in bed and the guy gave me the creeps and wouldn't take no for an answer. I don't know what made me ask but I did and it was him they were talking about.
Hope you had good time at the con. Also, saved a lot of time being distracted looking for her. Speak to you later - got to go fix works fax machine now - oh Joy!!

Being a bit slow on updating LJ !!
It's funny how things work out. It's like going on holiday to the middle of nowhere, and finding the couple 2 tents down live within 5 miles of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, that hasn't happened to me, but you know what I mean.
