Guess who's once again headed for unemployment?  That's right, yours truly is being let go for the second time in the space of a year.  It's a bit different this time, though.  I'm more being laid off than fired.  Chelsea told me on Friday that I'm going to be "let go" by the end of the month, which is next Saturday.  I was pissed about it at first

Remember to be super-nice when you call the unemployment office... you could be talking to my mom! (And if there's a super-long wait, try dialing one of the special foreign language lines, since those people take calls in English too.)

Actually the entire unemployment process can be completed online. I don't know about actually getting the money, whether it's mailed or I can get direct deposit or what but I don't think the phone will be involved much either way.

Ah, I see. If you're in a hurry, you might want to call instead, 'cause it takes a few days for the online application to be printed up & entered by hand.
