Okay, so I just want to share my thoughts about last night's episode...

Alright, so first off, I LOVED Cohen as young!John/Michael.  This guy can act and is teh pretty as well.

Cas...our lovely Cas is back and MAN!  is he BACK!  I love the progression of his character this season.  The matter of fact way he told Dean he didn't 'get those references' was LOL in a subtle Cas kind of way.  When he told Anna that he wouldn't hurt Sam because Sam was his friend...oh my gosh, I fell in love with him all over again!  And was it just me, or did Cas reciting the spell to find Anna make his voice really sexy?  Okay, maybe it was just me...

I've never been a real fan of Anna.  She came across a bit self-righteous to me from the get go.  (And don't even get me started on her crazy talk when she was human...it grated on my nerves.)  It's not because of her 'relationship' with Dean because I really like Dean's relationship with Jo.  I was truly sad when the killed off Jo, but I was not sad when Michael smote Anna.

It was nice to see Uriel again, even if he made my skin crawl before.  It made sense that he would help Anna when she said that the Winchesters were the ones that would kill him in the future, even if it wasn't really true.

Now to the issue of what Michael said about freewill being an illusion.  That's a bunch of crap and he knows it.  He's just trying to make Dean believe that he doesn't have a choice when he obviously does.  Just because he put everything back the way it was before Anna did her Terminator bit, doesn't mean there are no choices involved.  He CHOSE to save the Winchesters and wipe their minds so that it didn't alter the course of their lives.  He CHOSE to fix Sam so that Lucifer would still have his vessel...it's all about choices and he just wants Dean to choose him.  The stuff about lineage isn't as important as he made it.  Wouldn't every human on the plant be traced back to Cain and/or Able?  And the stuff about bloodlines being special was already touched on with Jimmy and his daughter and Castiel.  No surprises there.  I like the character Michael.  He may believe what he told Dean, but he is totally wrong, IMO.

Dean and Sam's interactions with their parents were wonderful to watch.  Sam just staring at Mary since it was the first time he's "really" met her (The other time was her spirit and he doesn't remember her as a baby.) it was very believable.  And his conversation with John where he defended how his dad raised them...heartbreaking.  When Dean tells Mary who they really are and convinces her by telling her about the soup and the Beatles song...only to then tell her he'd rather never be born...maybe it's because I'm a mother, but I was bawling...honestly bawling it hurt so bad.

This was the best episode this season!  I'm going to be watching it again and again, I'm sure.
