Love the Brigid's knot, and believe in her beauty as a great power of love and generosity... I bake bread regularly, and found that praying while I knead, as she (as saint) used to do, brings me great comfort. I'm wondering if you pray while you tie knots? The working of the hand and the heart and the mind together can be restful and fulfilling...

Anyway, fun to see your work!

To pray is to petition or solicit help. When I tie, I’m focused on the act of creating. That is, the knot I wish to see, I make.

Praying for a knot to form would feel like praying for my hand to open - seeking to be given what is in my power to create.

As you mentioned, Saint Brigid is remembered and respected for her love and generosity - both actions of virtue, performed by her. Were she to have prayed for love and generosity, but not expressed such qualities, we would not know her name today.
