You really do need to. You would love it. In fact, I can't really think of anyone who wouldn't love Stewart Island, and anyone with a green thumb would be in heaven. Thanks for the comment!

Know what u mean about "getting away" from the maddening crowd(s). Looks like a beautiful place to explore and achieve some solitude. How were the skeeters with all that water? Betcha had to apply lots of repellent,huh? Loved the birds. Are kiwis nocturnal? Definitely worth the wait for the post, can't wait for the next one. dad

Yeah, it was great. I haven't purchased any insect spray since getting here, actually. They just don't go after me. Plus I usually wear long sleeves. If you like birds, the next post is definitely for you. Kiwi birds are nocturnal and shy, so they're very hard to find, but you'll just have to see about next time. Thanks!
