Wow! What a Day! anonymous May 24 2008, 18:51:23 UTC
I'm exhausted and I didn't even go. Wow, 32 pages! Beautiful,Beautiful pictures and great commentary. Have you considered publishing this to a Travel magazine? Are you sure you didn't just take cuts in line at Kinkaku-ji and the other people were just being polite, not knowing how to tell those crazy Americans, "Hey, back of the line there ladies." So what were the Germans saying that freaked Lisa out? I loved the beautiful flowers & trees at the Botanical Gardens and were those chicken feet that were still attached to your Tempura Soba? Loved it. Can't wait for Day 3 although I should rest up first. Papa-san

Ha! No, those were prawns, not chicken feet. And Lisa was just excited because she could actually understand some of what they were saying, and realized that she hadn't completely forgotten her German. And I'm pretty sure we didn't cut--a lot of other people were going in the same way. Thanks for the quick reply!
