WOW. I love rock work and sculpture best. To combine that experience with water and exercise and cool people is awesome. That lizard is just beautiful. And now I know how to pronounce your street as well! Thanks for another amazing literary achievement for us up here who experienced it through your words.

Aww! Glad I didn't bore you with all of my history talk. I think you would have a lot of fun here - maybe you guys can go kayaking down the Feather River or something when the weather gets nicer. Just, you know, as an alternative to motorcycling and jetskiing everywhere. Tell your kids to travel whenever they can!

Sounds like a much more enjoyable day the 2nd time around, no offense to Elliot. The wind can be a huge factor when paddling. I remember being out on Little Grass Valley in my canoe and not sure I'd be able to paddle back once the wind came up. Great descriptions of everything and the pictures were great too. Too bad about the drunken jerks on the house boats but it sounds like overall a great day to put away into the memory bank. Thanks for sharing it. Dad p.s.
